About the program’s ANAB accreditation
The Institute of Food Safety, Health, & Hygiene, Inc. Food Handler Training Certificate Program is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under ANSI/ASTM E2659-24.
What accreditation means
ANAB accredits certificate-issuing programs against recognized standards. Under ANSI/ASTM E2659-24, a certificate is granted after a learner completes the education or training program and demonstrates achievement of the program’s intended learning outcomes.
What accreditation does not mean
ANAB does not certify, license, register, or approve individual certificate holders. The certificate documents successful completion of this specific program; it is not a professional certification or a national food handler license.
Why local acceptance still matters
States, counties, cities, and employers can set their own rules. Some accept ANAB-accredited food handler programs, while others require a specific government course or a provider on a local list.
Accredited scope
Our accreditation claim applies specifically to IFSHH’s Food Handler Training Certificate Program. It should not be interpreted as ANAB approval of other services, courses, learner results, or jurisdictional acceptance.
