ANAB identifies these states as recognizing accredited food handler certificate programs in applicable jurisdictions. State, county, establishment, and role exceptions still matter.

In these states and D.C., the $6.95 course is available when an employer or local authority does not require a different provider, permit, card, or role-specific credential. Availability is not a claim of government approval or guaranteed acceptance.
